Leasing and Development Activity Continues To Increase From Last Year’s Levels

As the exclusive agent for the following retailers, Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate has successfully negotiated leases as follows: Aldi’s, an international grocer specializing in private label, high quality products at the best possible prices will be opening 2 new locations in Newtown and Rocky Hill, CT. The new AT& T has signed a lease with the Ridgeway Shopping Center in Stamford, CT. Ace Hardware has signed a lease for 12,816 SF in the Great Road Shopping Center in Bedford, MA. Massage Envy, a national membership based massage therapy clinic, awarded North America's Hottest Retailer Award by the International Council of Shopping Centers, has plans to open their second clinic in CT in South Windsor. Omni Fitness has renewed their lease in Norwalk at Center Seven and signed 4 new leases in Rockville Center, NY, Riverdale, NJ as well as Peabody and Mansfield, MA. Robeks will be opening their fourth store in the town of Fairfield, expanding their coverage beyond the 3 existing stores in Westport, Darien, and Stamford, CT.

In addition, SCRE has arranged the sale of a property in East Haven, CT for development by Rite Aid. Lease transactions were brokered for Wireless Zone on Farmington Avenue in Bristol, and House of Fun on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, NY.

Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate has also brokered the following transactions on behalf of landlords. Fairfield County Bank will be opening a new branch at Eastside Commons, a new mixed use development, in Stamford, CT. Flash Pointe has opened on Post Road in Fairfield, CT and LaGravinese Jeweler at Grove Street Plaza in Darien, CT.
