Daniel Neaton

Dan joined the Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate team in February 2008 and is responsible for growing SCRE’s landlord representation business and building an investment services team. Dan is focusing on building relationships with Landlords, Developers and Investors by helping them to satisfy new tenant leasing, repositioning real estate in the market, and identifying new growth and investment opportunities.

Dan’s business experience includes a comprehensive 20 year corporate career in Real Estate, Mergers and Acquisitions, and General Management. He has executed real estate transactions valued at up to $90 million and led acquisition team activities to acquire companies with assets up to $220 million.

As President of Aquarion Services Company, Dan managed a diverse portfolio of small growth companies ranging in size from $2 million to $40 million. Dan’s corporate real estate experience includes land management, supervising office leasing and ownership activities for operations throughout New England, understanding environmental regulations and compliance issues, municipal approval and permitting processes, and negotiating raw land sales with State and Municipal officials throughout Connecticut.

Dan’s general management and entrepreneurial experience includes managing a start-up direct mail based company, a boutique engineer services company, and a national outsourcing services company. These experiences helped Dan develop a keen focus on exemplary client service and provided a special insight into the client perspective as he shifted to the commercial real estate arena.

In 2006, Dan joined Kimball Group, Inc. in order to focus on commercial real estate development and brokerage activities. While at Kimball, Dan identified retail development opportunities, provided financial oversight to property management, and engaged in brokerage activities relating to the marketing of industrial subdivisions and medical office buildings.

Dan is a graduate of Cornell University, The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program, and is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Connecticut. He is active in the community, holding board officer positions for the United Way and the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. Dan is an avid golfer, a team sports enthusiast, and youth sports coach.
